Phyllis Jean Loose, 85, of Burlington died at 7:59 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014, at Great River Medical Center - Klein Center.
Born April 5, 1928 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Frank D. and Hazel Marie (Andrew) Ertz. On May 18, 1952 she married Donald LeRoy Loose in Burlington.
Mrs. Loose was a 1946 graduate of Burlington High School. She worked at TRW for 27 years, rising to the rank of executive secretary to the vice president before her retirement in 1983.
Mrs. Loose was a member of First United Church of Christ Church where she also served as a Sunday school teacher for ten years and was a member of Professional Business Women. She was a former member of the Moose and Eagle's auxiliaries. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, crafts and embroidery, and boating on the Mississippi. Additionally, she was a talented artist and enjoyed fashion design and drawing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
