W.L. one of the oldest residens, died at his home, three miles north of this place.

The funeral was held this aternoon by burial in New Hope Cemetery, four miles east of Mexia.

note: In the 1900 Census his dob is listed as July 1837 @ 62 years of age and
his wife, Elizabeth, was 55 years of age with a dob of Sep 1844.

He was born in Tennessee as well as both of his parents.

She was born in Missouri and both of her parents were born in Tennessee.

They had 5 children, only 2 living.
Tom was born in Oct 1884.
