At an early age he showed his love for cars and motorcycles by successfully racing quarter midgets.
He graduated from Modesto High School and was drafted into the US Army. Rob served in Vietnam and was a disabled veteran.
Rob loved to fish, loved NASCAR, and most of all loved to ride his Harley.
Rob was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bertram.
He is survived by his mother, Ellen Bertram; his daughter, Amy Carlson; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Eli, and Hannah; he is also survived by his brothers, Rainee and Rick Bertram and their families. Rob had many close friends and he will be missed dearly.
Services will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California on February 19, 2014 at 2:30.
