KAYSVILLE--Leone Ary Nance Gardner, age 92, passed away Sunday, September 20, 1998, surrounded by family at the home of her daughter in Kaysville, Utah.

Mom truly fought a good fight, she finished her course and she kept the faith.

Leone was born September 28, 1905 in Kaysville, Utah, to Adolphus Wilburn and Minnie Elizabeth Nichols Nance. She married Lewis James Gardner, September 30, 1939 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lewis passed away in 1952, after only 13 short years of marriage.

Leone devoted the rest of her life caring for others and raising he two daughters.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary and as a Visiting Teacher and special interest representative. She served an honorable mission for the church in Mesa, Arizona. She was a stake temple worker, averaging 12 sessions a week for over five years.

Surviving are her two daughters and spouses, Bonnie (Jerry) Kirkpatrick and Mariann (Richard) Thorson. Also surviving are 11 loving grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 8th Ward Rock Chapel, 25 South 2nd East. Family and friends may call Wednesday at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
