Mr. Ralph Lenvil Dawson, 77 of Shiloh, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Dawson was born and raised in the Shiloh community. He graduated from Fyffe High School and Attended Auburn University. He married Syble Davidson of Fyffe and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1958 to 1962. He also worked at General Electric in Huntsville, taught school at De Kalb County Technical School and was retired from the De Kalb County Board of Education.For several years he enjoyed operating Dawson's Christmas Tree and Blueberry Farm in Shiloh and was known lovingly as "The Christmas Tree Man." He was a member of Fyffe First Baptist Church.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his wife Syble Dawson his parents AA and Vesta Dawson and two sisters Lydia Faye Pace and Joycelyn Runkel.

He is survived by his daughters Karen (Mark) Malone of Valley Head, Amy (Greg) Foster of Arlington, TX, Gail (Steven) Mitchell of Shiloh: 5 Grand Children Leah (John) Harden of Navarre, FL, Robert Malone of Atlanta, GA, Holden Foster of Arlington, TX, Aaron Mitchell and Nathan Mitchell of Shiloh: 2 Great Grandchildren Callie Mitchell and Norah Harden of Navarre, FL and Caregiver Rita Brooks.

Visitation was held Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 11AM to 2:30PM at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.

Services were held Sunday, February 16 at 3PM at Fyffe First Baptist Church with Rev Charles Jones officiating and burial followed in Brown's Chapel Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel directing.
