NORTON — Dorothy A. (DeMello) Burch passed away on Friday evening, Nov. 29, 2013 after a brief illness in EPOCH of Norton. She was born March 2, 1939 in New Bedford, daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (England) DeMello. She moved to East Taunton after marrying her late husband Gordon W. Burch. She worked at Red Carter's Spinning and Ceramics and several other companies in the area. She loved Elvis Presley, her Yorkshire Terrier, Macy and spending time with her family and all of her friends. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking and dancing. Dot is the loving mother of Preston W. Burch, Sr of Taunton and his late wife Carol Burch; Keith R. Burch and his fiancé Melodie Santos of East Taunton, James E. Burch and his fiancé Mary Espinoza of Taunton, Margaret "Peggy" Coccia of FL and Yvonne Burch of Carver. She is the loving sister of Ilene Pina of New Bedford, Janice DeMello of Norton, Luis DeMello of Taunton and the late Ernest DeMello. Dorothy is the grandmother of Stephanie, Steven, Kristie, Faith, Neal, Tara, Preston, Jr., Karissa, Kerri, Tyler and Brooke and she is the great grandmother of nine. She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews and the friend to many including Alison Seybold and Valerie Hines. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave, (Route 138 South) Taunton on Wednesday Dec. 4, 2013 at 12 Noon. Visiting hours from 10 to 12 prior to the Service. Interment Precinct Cemetery, Lakeville.
