ABBEVILLE — Elizabeth Marilla Cox Rush, 86, of Abbeville, wife of the late Edsel Lyonel Rush, died February 11, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood. She was born in Anderson SC to the late Thomas Hugh Cox, Sr. and Lila Jane Stone Cox. Mrs. Rush retired after 35 years of service from Little River Electric Co-op and was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church. For many years, she was active with her churches senior group the 'Pioneers'. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, T.H. Cox, Jr., David S. Cox, and Clarence Cox; and a sister, Sarah C. Cawthon. Surviving Mrs. Rush are many nieces and nephews including some very special ones, Ronnie Cox and his wife Mary of Calhoun Falls, Jean King of Elberton GA, Jane Sims and her husband Tony of Monroe GA. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Harris Funeral Home.
