ATHOL MOURNS DEATH OF LILLEY B. CASWELL

ATHOL, April 29--Lilley B. Caswell, aged 71, for many years one of Athol's most useful citizens, passed away at his home, 1269 Main St. today.
Mr. Caswell was a civil engineer. He was also a member of the Athol School Board and a leader in the Methodist Church.
Mr. Caswell for many years was the most active newspaperman in Athol and contiguous towns. He was correspondent for the Boston Globe retiring from that position seven or eight years ago. During the early days he covered news for the Globe all the way from Fitchburg to Greenfield. He also worked for other papers and was a valued writer for the Athol Transcript for some time.
