He died at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh,

He was the son of Jay W. and Verne Eva (Brayton) Reed.

He married Keitha Willmart in St. Andrews Church in Norwood, NY.

He served in the Army Medical Corps during WW II. On July 10, 1948

He was employed for 36 years as the Village of Potsdam engine operator for the Potsdam Fire Dept. He was a CSEA negotiator for 16 years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2309 in Norwood at St. Andrews Church, where he had been a member. He was also a member of Post 74 American Legion in Potsdam.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Perrault of Rousses Point, NY; a son, Timothy of Morrisonville, NY; five granddaughters, and 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Lawrence, Morris "Jack", Frank, Lewis, and Richard, and four sisters: Mary, Effie, Bertha, and Cora.

He was predeceased by his wife Keitha, a son Thomas Reed, two brothers, Hazen and Charles Reed and two sisters, Ruth and Esther.
