He was born on October 25, 1939 in Germantown, Ohio, to the late Raymond & Glenna (Younce) Jefferis.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Donna & Rick Pridemore of Cincinnati, Ohio; sons and daughters in law, Derry & Traci Jefferis of Yakima, WA, and Devin Jefferis of Piqua, Ohio; Grandchildren; Shae Pridemore, Chloe Koon, Myah & Maddix Jefferis; brothers: Allan Jefferis of California and Larry Jefferis of Greenville, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jefferis.
Dennis retired from General Motors after 32 ½ years of service.
He was a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He loved hunting, fishing and puzzles of John Wayne and Buffaloes.
There will be a private services held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd., Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
