Mrs. Jo Ann Allen age 67 of 3 Walker Street Cartersville, died Tuesday August 31, 2010. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday September 5, 2010 at the MT Zion Baptist Church of 147 Jones St, Cartersville. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7pm to 8pm Saturday 9/4/10 at Eppinger's Funeral Home. "JoAnn" as she was affectionately called, was born in Bartow County on December 22, 1942 to the late John Eddie and Dora Dean Pattersonl. She was educated in the Bartow County School System and attended Summer Hill High School. She was initally employed by Cartersville Spinning and later employed by and retired from Shaw Industries. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church."JoAnn" met and married the love of her life, Curtis Allen and the two lived as one for 35 years.She leaves to mourn: her loving husband, Curtis Allen, three daughters, Pamela Garnigan (Mark), MeLinda Riley (Reginald), and Keecia Scott (Travis); a son Eugene Watts; grandchildren; Shandez Garnigan, Stephen Watts, Kayla Garnigan, Ashley Riley, Amber Riley, Brandon McMullen, and Trevor Scott, an aunt Ruby Jean Jones (David), and a host of other relatives and friends.
