Services for George Henry Isom, 68, of Coalgate, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Isom died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at an Ada hospital. He was born November 24, 1945 at Greenville, South Carolina to Lloyd E. and Billie I. Holley Isom.

He attended school at Ada and Byng. He married Joyce Hawkins on July 6, 1967 in Ada. Mr. Isom was employed in the oilfield, for Evergreen Feeds, as a dispatcher for the Ada and Yellow Cab Companies, and managed the Hornet Service Station.

Survivors include his significant other, Laura, of the home; his children, Heidi Harkins of Ada; Travis Isom and wife Catherine of Norman; a step-son, Bob Koscho and his wife Michelle of Moore; grandchildren, Kelsey Howard, Clinton Harkins and wife Amy of Ada, Robby, Steven and Adrienne Koscho of Moore; great grandchildren Tori and Frances; his mother, Billie Herring of Allen; brother, Ernie Isom of Coalgate; sister, Judy Brinlee of Ada; step-children, Judy and husband Reggie Nichols and family of Alterson, OK; Ronda and husband Russell Eldridge and family of Tushka, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Isom; step-father, Johnnie Herring; brother, DeWayne Isom; and his grandparents.

Bearers will be his nephews, Shane Brinlee, Bart Brinlee, Clay Brinlee and extended family, Russell Eldridge, Reggie Nichols and Tra Nichols.
