Dorothy "Dottie" Binkle, 88, of Port Hope, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Huron Medical Center of Bad Axe.

She was born on March 14, 1925, in Port Hope, to the late Charles and Stella (Hoffman) Schave.

She and Ralph Binkle were united in marriage on Dec. 24, 1945, in Port Hope. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2010.

Dottie worked at Unell Manufacturing in Port Hope for 30 years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope, the Church Choir and the Harbor Beach Community Choir. She enjoyed reading, gardening, needle work and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters, Margo Kelly and her husband, Gaylord of Presque Isle, Mary Jane Pleiness and her husband, Richard of Davison; two grandchildren, Rory and Julie Roberts, and Wade and Celeste Roberts; four great grandchildren, Josie, Jamie, Taylor and Nick; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Skinner of Traverse City and Esther Binkle of Traverse City.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Earl Schave and Lawrence Schave, Mildred Pochert, Alma Stange, Florene Young and Margaret Ender
