In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Arthur, Paul, and Kenneth Miller; three sisters, Maudie Smith, Ludene Holland and Clotene Valentine; One aunt, Maudie Lawson.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Old Flat Lick Baptist Church; she was the Owner-Operator of the Flat Lick Texaco.
Survivors include: Neil Reeder of Tennessee, Paul Steven Frost and wife Sharon of Michigan., and Darlene Reeder Carnes of Corbin, all of whom she raised as her own children.
One brother, Rev. Everett Miller and wife Faye of Flat Lick, Ky. and one sister, Flora Holland of Bell County.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Patterson were conducted on Saturday August 26, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Frost and Rev. Brian Miracle officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Flat Lick. Pallbearers were Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers were the Knox County Hospital Staff and the Staff of the Long term Care unit
