Kerry was found dead early Tuesday morning, July 13, 2010, at his place of employment in Morgan City. He was a resident of Prairieville, born Dec. 31, 1958. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Babin, of Gonzales. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Babin and Elsie M. Babin, who were of St. Amant. Also survived by his siblings, Brenda Holthaus, Coy L. Babin, Susan Rice and Kelley Babin; and two sisters-in-law, Rita Babin, wife of Coy, and Debbie Babin, wife of Kelley; and two brothers-in-law, Dave Holthaus, husband of Brenda, and Don Oakley, husband of Darlene. Kerry had six nephews, Jeffery and Toby Arceneaux, Derrek Oakley, Pete Babin, Stacey Back and Coy Babin Jr. His five nieces are Rena Bye, Bena Delatte, Joy Valentine, Jenny Hogue and Kaylee Babin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Oakley; brother, Terry Paul Babin; and niece, Lori Back. By deceased's request, there will be no visitation, only a small service for his siblings.
