Morris Nicholas Danielson, Jr., age 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 2012, passed away on January 27, 2014.

He was born in Estherville, Iowa to Morris Sr. and Ella Danielson. He graduated from Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, earned his master's degree at Northwest Missouri State University and received his doctorate in education from the University of Northern Colorado. He had a long and successful career as an educator.
After retiring from the Colorado Department of Education, he continued his love of learning by attending the Iliff School of Theology at the University of Denver, where he earned his master's in divinity degree.
Morris had a love of travel, in particular traveling to Israel, where he had visited 13 times. He hiked many of Colorado's mountains, and logged many miles walking his beloved dogs in Denver and Albuquerque. He was married to Janice Danielson for 24 years. He treasured his family and was a loving father and grandfather. His kindness, wisdom and unique sense of humor will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his daughter, Donella of Albuquerque; his son, Morris III of Stamford, CT; and his granddaughters, Katie and Josie of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his siblings, David White of Fairmont, MN, MaryRose Rezac of Dolliver, IA, Jim Danielson of Flint, MI, and Bob Danielson of Westminster, CO; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Juan Tabo Community of Christ. A memorial is also planned for the Denver Community of Christ congregation. His final resting place will be in the Armstrong Grove cemetery in Iowa.
