Margaret was the daughter of Henry Sterner and Emma Jane Almoney. She married "Walter" Jacob Walter Baker on May 31, 1921 at the Sterner home on 638 West Philadelphia St. in York, York Co., PA. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Frederick A. Rupley, D.D., pastor of the Grace Reformed Church in York.

Walter and Margaret were the parents of eight children:
1. Jacob Walter Baker, Jr.
2. Charles Henry Baker
3. Phyllis J. (Baker) Stotz
4. Louise A. (Baker) Rahn
5. Wade Howard Baker
6. Donald Harry Baker
7. Robert Frank Baker
8. Linda K. (Baker) Heller McKay

Mrs. Margaret L. Baker Died on Wednesday; Funeral Held Saturday

Mrs. Margaret L. Baker (nee Sterner), wife of Mr. Jacob W. Baker, Sr., of 540 Estate rd., Maple Shade, died on Wednesday, March 6.

Mrs. Baker is also survived by four sons, Jacob W. Jr., Charles H. of Marlton; Wade H. of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and Donald H.; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Stotz, Mrs. Linda Heller of Maple Shade and Mrs. Louise Rahn of Fort Myers, Flas.; a brother, George and a sister Mrs. Alice Bourinskas of York, Pa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker were held on Saturday, March 9 from the Inglesby Funeral Home, 602 E. Main st., Maple Shade where relatives and frinds of the family called on Friday evening.

Interment took place in Locustwood Memorial Park.
