Beth France Cook-Nulph, 83, of Shelley, passed away February 11, 2014, at her home from natural causes.

She was born April 25, 1930 in Taylor, Idaho, to Stephen Maine France and Della Garner. She grew up in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School.

On June 9,1950, she married Doyle Cook of Shelley in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Shelley where they raised their two daughters and two sons. On December 29, 1953 Beth's parents were in a car-train accident. her mother was killed instantly, but her father was thrown in the back seat and survived. Doyle was 28 years old and Beth was 23. They lovingly cared for her father and very willingly took on the responsibility of Beth's two younger brothers, Stephen R. France age 12 and Garry L. France age 10. They lived in Shelley, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, Richland, WA and Bountiful, Utah. In 1990 Doyle retired and they returned back to Idaho Falls. Doyle passed away on March 13, 1995.

On November 1, 2003, she married Emmett R. Nulph in Idaho Falls. They have made their home in Shelley for the past 10 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in both Ward and Stake positions throughout her life and served as a temple officiator in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for many years. She served a Humanitarian Mission in Idaho Falls with her husband Emmett R. Nulph. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Survivors include her husband, Emmett R. Nulph of Shelley,; children, MarShan (Kevin) Croft of Ammon; Kathee (Arnold R.) Augustin of Lubbock, TX, David A.(Kally) Cook and Darren E. (Donna) Cook all of Shelley, brothers Stephen R. (Marsha) France and Garry L. (Bonnie) France all of Shelley, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Cook, her parents; brother Joseph and sister Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17th, at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 S Milton Ave.) with Bishop Mark Bolander officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m Sunday at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak St.) in Shelley, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Interment will in Shelley Hillcrest cemetery.
