Philip D. Davidson, of New York City, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Rabbi Isidore and Rose Ginsburgh Davidson and was a graduate of GAR High School and University of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Ann Davidson, Pasadena, Calif.; Leah F. Davidson, New York City; sisters Betty Braun, Helen Siegel; brothers Martin Davidson, West Port, Conn. and loving ex-wife Sheila; and several nieces and nephews.

A Wall Street icon, mentor and lifelong sports and horse racing enthusiast, Phil will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside funeral service will be held Friday, May 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Holche Yosher Cemetery, Hanover Township. The Rabbi Nachman Bruce will officiate.

Arrangements are by Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Wilkes-Barre.

There will be no local Shiva.
