Pepin, Frank 1903

Obituary – Frank Pepin
East Liverpool Tribune

Another well known East Liverpool boy has passed over the river whose waters ripple and roll to the shores of eternity. Last evening, (November 3, 1903) at 11 o'clock, Mr. Frank Pepin, died at his home, this city, after a lingering illness. Mr. Pepin was an interior house painter and grainer by trade, and has lived in this city since 1858, when he came here a boy with his parents. He was a son of ex-Mayor Gustave Pepin, deceased, the well remembered old time jeweler and watchmaker, of this city. Frank Pepin was the eldest son. He early imbibed the principles of patriotism. His father was captain and drill master of the Lincoln Wideawakes in 1860. When the call was made for volunteers in 1861 Frank enlisted in the Third Ohio Infantry, and was a member of Co. K. He served three years with the old Third Ohio. At the time of his death he was in his 67th year. Practically all his life was spent in East Liverpool, where he was known as a most kind hearted, quiet citizen. As an artist in inside finish painting, he had few equals, and his workmanship can be found in many East Liverpool homes today where it has stood the test of for years. He leaves three sons, all living in this city, namely: Charles, George, Theodore and Fred, also one daughter unmarried, Miss Eva. He is a brother of Mrs. John H. Burgess and Mr. Gus Pepin, of this city. Notice of funeral will be made late
