JACK SPEER

Jack R. Speer, 64, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. He was born Oct. 25, 1949, to Eloise and Bill Speer in Kermit, Texas, and was a 19-year resident of Las Vegas. Jack enjoyed travel and adventure, and took Patti on an incredible 33-year journey. Since the late 1970's, Jack was employed in healthcare administration. They spent a little more than two years working in Saudi Arabia at a hospital in Riyadh, where their adventures began, which included a Kenyan safari and a tour of Greece. Their favorite vacation spot was anywhere with a beach, particularly in the Caribbean and Hawaii. Jack introduced Patti to adventures that included white-water rafting, hot air ballooning, snorkeling, skeet shooting and so many more. They had a wonderful life together. Jack is survived by the love of his life, best friend and wife, of 33 years, Patti; parents, Bill and Eloise; brother, and sister-in-law, Greg and Phyllis; a nephew and niece, William and Samantha; and two daughters (from a previous marriage) Stephanie and Kimberly. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. No services are scheduled. Donations may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, 888 W. Bonneville Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
