She was born September 19. 1853, daughter of William and Ann David Warner. The family moved into Spanish Fork when the old settlement of Palmyra was given up and she had resided here practically all her life.
She was married to John S. Lewis in the Salt Lake Endowment House, December 28, 1874. They lived for some years in Spanish Fork Canyon and there Mrs. Lewis assisted in establishing an LDS Sunday School, Relief Society and Primary association. They moved back to Spanish Fork in 1886.
A practical nurse, she was often in demand to help care for the sick.
Seven sons and a daughter survive, J. Will, David H., Ezra and Leslie Lewis, Spanish Fork; Brigham and Preston Lewis and Mrs. Annie Woodard, Wells, Nevada and Ralph Lewis, Soldier Summitt; 45 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, three half-brothers and two sisters, John and Alfred Warner, Spanish Fork; Thomas Warner, Salt Lake; Mrs. Emma Evans and Mrs. Martha Simmons, Spanish Fork.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the lDS Third Ward Chapel. The body is at the Claudin Funeral Home.
