Howard F. Grove, 94, formerly of Bremen, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at LuAnn Nursing Home in Nappanee. He was the father of an area resident.
Born Oct. 3, 1916, in Bremen, his parents were Frank and Pauline Schlemmer Grove. His marriage was to Donna Baugher on Nov. 8, 1947. She died in 2001.
Mr. Grove was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Dade City, Fla., where he and his wife lived for 20 years. He enjoyed Florida and tending his orange groves. He later attended Bremen Church of the Brethren and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Myrna Grove of Elkhart and Elaine Rhodes (husband: Carl) of Middlebury; and a son, Bruce Grove (wife: Pam) of Monticello.
Services are Friday in Bremen.
