William Quincy Murphy, II AUGUSTA, Ga. - Quietly in the early morning of August 2, 2013, our loved one, Representative William Quincy Murphy, II, finished his task, put on his helmet of salvation, answered the call, and left behind a legacy of love, humanity and service to his family, friends and community. William Quincy Murphy was preceded in death by his father William Quincy Murphy, his mother, Elease P. Wells, and his grandmother, Pearl Palmore. Quincy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of more than 35 years, Linda Dianne Murphy; a son, William Quincy Murphy III; a daughter, Jennifer Alishia Morgan (Tavarus); two aunts, Joan Farver, Mary Lee Washington; father-in-law, David Dunton; mother-in-law, Doris Dunton; sister-in-law, Deborah Smith; brother- in-law, Bernard Dunton; cousins, Janet Harrison (Charles) and Henry Byrd; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1223 Laney Walker Boulevard, Augusta, with Reverend Dr. Charles E. Goodman, Jr., pastor-officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. *The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quincy Murphy Foundation c/o First Bank, 1580 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904. W. H.
