OBITUARY-
The funeral for William G. Wiste will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams with the Rev. Allen Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wiste, 77, of Adams, a former heavy-equipment operator, died Friday, March 5, 1999 at the Adams Health Care Center. He was born Aug. 13, 1921 in Marshall Township, Mower County, and graduated from Adams High School in 1939. He farmed for a few years then was a heavy-equipment operator for Osmundson Brothers Co. in Adams, and later worked for Holmes Brothers Co. in Goodhue. His wife, Alice, died in 1993. He was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Mrs. Joe) Retterath of Adams and Melanie (Mrs. John) Kasner of Rochester; three sons, Jerry and Tom, both of Adams, and Steven of Austin; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two brothers, David Sr. and Harold, both of Adams. A brother preceded him in death. Friends may call at Little Cedar Lutheran Church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before the service Wednesday. Adams Funeral Home in Adams is in charge of arrangements.

William and Netta were married on December 15, 1945.
