Imogene "Jean" Boyd, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014.

She was born June 25, 1930 in Des Arc, Arkansas to the late Lee Elmer and Florence (Stanley) Buchanan.

Jean was a fifty-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and held many offices within the organization. She was a member of Ragweed Valley Baptist Church and in her younger years could fish and hunt with the best of them. Jean's most current passion was fervently playing bingo on her beloved Facebook site.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband R. V. Boyd, Sr..

Jean is survived by her daughters Connie Swaim of Hazen, Arkansas, Debbie Carroll (Ray) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Edie Tweedy (Phillip) of Cabot, Arkansas, step-daughter Jackie Dickey (Bobby) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step-son R. V. Boyd Jr., (Freddie) of Florida; brother Glen Buchanan (Dean of Springdale; sisters Edith Baney of Little Rock, Arkansas and Addie Ewing of Des Arc, Arkansas; eight grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.

Caruth-Hale Funeral Home; the Eastern Star Program beginning Thurs. at 6:30.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen, Arkansas with Brother Christian Van Houten officiating.
