Cecil Leon Willis, 89, of Indianapolis and formerly of Dugger passed away at 1:30 a.m., today, July 10, 2002 at Northwest Manor in Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 8, 1912 in Sullivan County, he was the son of S.C. and Tilda (Deckard) Willis.
He was a member of the Lockerbie Square United Methodist Church and the Knights of Pythias, both of Indianapolis.
Survivors include, his wife, Mildred (Griggs) Willis of Indianapolis; two sons, Ralph Willis of Newcastle and Rex Willis of Indianapolis; three daughters, Nancy Hilinski of Murrels, S.C., Laura Marsh of Indianapolis and Loretta Smith of Luck, Wis.; one brother, Donald Willis of Sullivan; one sister, Thelma Norris of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Russell Willis and one brother, Sherman Willis.
Funeral services will be held at the Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 11 a.m., Saturday with Dr. Woodrow Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Hickory Cemetery near Dugger.
