Cora Bell Harris, age 76, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday, January 27, 2014, at her home surrounded with her loving family at her bedside.

Cora Bell was born in Suches, GA, but spent most of her married life as a resident of Lumpkin County. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. Cora Bell was a dedicated and devout woman of God. She shared a close and intimate relationship with her Savior. She read her Bible daily and fervently prayed for her family, friends, and church family. Cora Bell loved going to church and worshiping The Lord. As in the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 "…the time of my departure is at hand. (7) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which The Lord, the righteous judge,shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them that love His appearing. Cora Bell kept her faith until the end of her journey on this earth. In her last days, she had a song of praise in her heart knowing she would live again.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Wayne Harris; her mother, Vandora Seabolt; grandson, Henry Ray Blackwell; sister, Ruby Dowdle; brother, Gene Seabolt; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Harris. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Ray Harris. They had a close and loving marriage for 53 years.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jerry Anderson, Dahlonega, GA, Regina and Wesley Blackwell, Cleveland, GA, and Renee and Rusty Hamilton, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Gail Harris, Dean and Louise Harris; sons, Willard Lee Harris and Jeff
Harris, all of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Robert Wallace, Blairsville, GA; sister, Adell Dills, and sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Leon Presley of Dahlonega, GA. 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Cora Bell are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Roger Dunagan and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 2PM until 6PM, and on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 until time of service.
