Jo An Howard, 71 of West Elkton, OH died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on February 10, 1943 in Preble County, OH she was the daughter of the late Milburn "Dutch" & Pearl Jane (Baker) Bowman. Jo loved bowling and had been a member of the Preble County Country Kickers. She had played the guitar and sang with several bands in the area including the Dean Pottinger Orchestra and the Homer Bacon Farm Band.

Preceded in death by her sisters: Peggy Bowman and Bessie Carroll in 2011.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Charles A. Howard; children: Charles "Andy" Howard II of Camden, OH; Arthur "Tiger" Howard of New Miami, OH and Donald "Peanut" (Susan) Howard of Collinsville, OH; sisters: Joyce Smith of Cincinnati, OH; Vivian Bowling of North Ft. Myers, FL and Ruby Sorrell of Texas City, TX; brothers: Glenn Bowman of Rockport, TX and Elmer Bowman of Camden, OH; grandchildren: Aleshia Bokeno, Tiffany Puckett, Kalinda Howard, Austin Howard and Donovan Howard; 4 Great Grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main Street, Camden, Ohio with the funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, OH
