He was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II. Paul retired from Wheland Foundry and he was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish and was a lifelong member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Scoggins; son Paul H. Scoggins III, and a daughter, Wanda Hayes.
He is survived by his children, Sherry Scoggins, Mary Reynolds, Roy Cansler, Chris Smith and Edith Jackson; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend James Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
