Greg Peterson, 60, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Reid Hospital in Richmond.

He was born on March 4, 1953 in Winchester to Richard K. and Vivian (Hesser) Peterson. Greg was a 1971 graduate of Winchester Community High School and served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired as a truck driver from Wick's Pies in Winchester. He was a member and a Trustee of the First United Methodist Church in Winchester. He also belonged to the Winchester American Legion, Post #39 and the Farmland Conservation Club. Greg was a former member of the Saratoga Lions Club. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. Greg was also an avid sports fan, following Winchester athletic events, Cincinnati Reds, Indiana University and the Indianapolis Colts.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 12 years, Sara (Shierling) Peterson of Winchester; a son, Matt (Darcy) Peterson of Dallas, TX, a daughter, Randi Lynn Peterson of Indianapolis, a son, Keith Peterson of Muncie; a step-daughter, Anesta Zapf of Indianapolis, a step-daughter, Gail Cazel of Winchester, and a step-son, Neal Cazel of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Garrison Peterson, Elin Peterson and Tripp Peterson; a brother, Gary (Susan) Peterson of Farmland; a niece, Kelsey Peterson of Jeffersonville, IN and a nephew, Trent Peterson of Winchester.
