"On Sabbath morning, Mrs. Chalmers, wife of Rev John T. Chalmers, died at the home of her parents in the upper portion of Fairfield county. She was the daughter of Mr. John Brice, a prominent citizen of Fairfield, and in the fall of 1882 was married to Rev. J. T. Chalmers, who, with four children survives her... The remains were buried beside the infant who 'crossed the bar' such a short time before her."
