SYLVIA M. SWITZER
Sylvia M. Switzer, 93, of Moberly died Tuesday at 3:30 a.m. in Moberly Caring Center.
She was born Oct. 28, 1899, near Clarence, a daughter of the late George and Mattie Bond Halterman.
Mrs. Switzer was a life-time member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She and Ralph D. Switzer were married Dec. 23, 1916, in Moberly. He died April 16, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Russell Halterman; two sisters, Lorene Downing and Elma Rogers, and a son-in-law, Carl Angell.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Louise Angell of Clark; son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Winnie Switzer, Hot Springs, AR; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother, Hartcel Halterman of Moberly; two sisters, Belle Kamp of Cairo and Berniece Hagood of Moberly; nieces and nephews and others.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Cater Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cater's.
