Born June 22, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska, John Edward was the son of Edward Lincoln Baugh and Margaret Mary (Carrick) Baugh. On January 2, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, he married Kathleen Bittel. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the St. Williams Catholic Church.
His survivors include his children and their spouses Barbara and John Lewis of Cash, David and Lynne Baugh of Austin, Christopher and Kellye Baugh of Austin, Mary and Michael Ader of Greenville, and Michael Baugh and Tim Ong of Houston; sisters and brothers Mary Alice Buckley, Father David Baugh and Kathleen Gleason; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, John Gregory Baugh; grandson, Preston Cole Williams; brothers, Richard and Edward Baugh; and sister, Peggy Gaffney.
The family request memorials be made to the Memorial Garden Fund at the San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
