Jerry Arnold Browning, Sr., age 70, of Coker, died Dec. 20, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Avery & Rev. Ron Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Chapel Mausoleum with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lou Browning; his mother, Lucille Browning; his father, W.C. "Shorty" Browning; one sister; two brothers; and two grandsons.
Survivors include his daughters, Malissia Miller (Chuck) of Woodstock and Teresa Huffman of Elrod; his sons, Jerry Browning, Jr. (Annette) of Elrod, Gary Browning (Angela) of Elrod, and Hayden Faucett (Joline) of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters; two brothers; five grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Christian Morris, B.J. Morris, Jerry Wayne Morris, Trey Browning, Brian Grossman, and Jordan Miller.
Honorary pallbearers are DCH 1st and 3rd Floor ICU, and 6th Floor South, and friends of the Elrod and Coker communities.
