She was preceded in death by her father, John Hamilton McGill; mother, Vivian L. McGill; brothers, Jack Hamilton, Joseph Ned, Frankie Edward, Sandy Douglas and Johnny E.; and her husband of 58 years, Clem H. Ezell.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Nelson and JoAnn Ezell; son. C. Hollis Ezell (Bridget); grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle Ezell, Jason Nelson (Shelly), and Courtney Hall (Jason); and great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Dillion Nelson and Stella and Will Hall.
Sarah was born in Bay Minette, Alabama to John H. and Vivian McGill the second of six children. She met and married Clem H. Ezell while employed at AL Dry Docks and Shipping Yards in Mobile. They moved to Tuscaloosa where she and Mr. Ezell raised their three children.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Leonard Jones and Joshell and his staff, the angels at Hospice of West Alabama, Dewayne and his staff at Jim Meyers Capstone, employees of Temporary Emergency Services, and Debbie Lowther, a very special "sister" without whom this would have been an almost unbearable journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alberta Baptist Church Building Fund, 3722 Palisades Drive, Suite B, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 or Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
