Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today followed by a rosary at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Victor, the son of Liberatus and Eva (Schmidt) Gustin, was born March 25, 1934, in Morton County. He was raised and educated in Morton County, later earning his GED and associate's degree from Bismarck Junior College (BSC). He served in the U.S. Army prior to marrying Charlotte Nagel on Sept. 26, 1960, in Flasher where they farmed for three years before moving to Mandan. Victor held various jobs throughout his working career, finally retiring in 1998.

Victor enjoyed spending time outdoors which included fishing, hunting and camping with his family. He enjoyed reading, especially his many Louis L'amour books as well as assisting Charlotte in their many unique craft projects. He was a devoted family man with patience that never ran out. His compassion showed in the many times that Victor invited people that were without family home for a Holiday meal. His quiet strength and sense of humor will continue to inspire his family for years to come.

Victor is survived by his son, Tim; his daughters, Tami and Becky; one grandson; three brothers, George, Leonard and Liberatus Gustin; three sisters, Teresa Bender, Florence Wingenbach and Suzanne Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; his parents, Liberatus and Eva; six brothers, Pete, Paul, Peter, Robert, Lawrence and Vincent; and four sisters, Frances, Helen, Katherine and Rita.
