OBITUARIES Duncan Family
A Joint funeral service for Lt. Commander J. Murphy Duncan, 39. his wife, Ola Chitty Duncan, 38, and daughters Jane, 8, Rebecca Jean, 6, and Joy Marie, 2, will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a. m. in Murfreesboro, N. C. at the Meharrin Baptist Church Cemetery. Duncan and his family died last Saturday night in a car accident near Ouster, S. D. He was stationed at the Oxnard Naval Air Station, Calif. Mrs. Duncan was a Sunday School teacher at the Oxnard Southern Baptist Church where her husband was a deacon. Lt. Commander Duncan is survived by his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Duncan of Murfreesbora; one sister, Mrs. Robert Orrell of Chesapeake; two brothers Comvell S. Duncan of Ft. Lee am George T. Duncan of Murfreesboro. His wife is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ola Chitty o Murfreesboro; three sisters: Mrs Earl B. Chappel of Norfolk, Mrs Charles T. Hinnant of Durham N. C. and Mrs. Tommy Gurganins of Bel Air, Md., and three brothers: Charles A. Chitty o Murfreesboro, Rodderick Chitty of Wakefield, Mass, and Dr. Maicom R. Chitty of Newbern, N. C The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. John D. Davis, pastor of the Marrin Baptis Church, the Rev. Roland S. Pnietts, pastor of Murfreesboro Bap tist Church and the Rev. E. I Moshier, pastor of the First Bap tist Church in Norfolk.
