A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Amy passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Promise Specialty Hospital, Baton Rouge. She was 78, and a resident of Pride. She was a retired clerical accounting administrator, and a native of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, until religious services in the chapel. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Survived by husband, Daniel John "D.J." Ferguson, Sr.; four children, Tara Ferguson Thoms and husband Paul, Jana Ferguson Logan and husband Stewart, Daniel John Ferguson, Jr. and wife Laura, and Julie Ferguson Falgoust and husband Kelvin; five grandchildren, Quentin Thoms, Afton Thoms Cormier and husband Buddy, Dustin Felton and wife Shasta, Ryan Ferguson, and Jacqulyn Miller; seven great grandchildren, Emma and Tyler Felton, Talon and Tymber Thoms, Sopie Eaton, and Karli and Hallie Cormier; and a sister, Betty Brinkley and husband Sonny.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Sonny Tillery; a sister, Bess Cook; and her parents, Pearl Elise Lampkin and Tully Burton Tillery.

Pallbearers are Daniel John Ferguson, Jr., Quentin Thoms, Dustin Felton, Ryan Ferguson, Stewart Logan, Paul Thoms, Kelvin Falgoust, and Buddy Cormier.

Amy enjoyed shopping and go-cart riding, but the most important thing to her was her family. She cherished every minute she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she will be missed greatly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
