Reverend Virgil Peterson, retired Southern Baptist minister, died Saturday, December 6, 2008. He was born to Clara and Oscar Peterson January 2, 1913 in Edmond, OK. He graduated from Piedmont HS in 1931 and Southwestern Theological Seminary with a Bachelor in Theology in 1942. His pastoral career took him to Kansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eileen; sons: Bob and wife Setsuko, George (Pete) and wife Linda, and Oscar; daughter Nancy O'Donnell; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2008 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel located at 5005 SE 29th street in Del City, OK. Burial will be at Arlington Memory Gardens at 3400 N. Midwest Blvd. in Midwest City, OK
