BETTY GLADE CHRISTENSEN

Elizabeth ''Betty'' Hamilton Glade Christensen passed away October 23, 1991 in Gallup, New Mexico at the home of her son John.

She was born July 1, 1905 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William John and Annie Harris Hamilton Glade.

Married Fredric Nephi Christensen July 1, 1930 in Grand Junction, Colorado; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Betty graduated from West High School and then attended Nursing School at the LDS Hospital and graduated as an RN being Head Nurse in the labor and delivery room. She retired from LDS Hospital in June 1968. Her nursing skills were appreciated by all of her family, friends, and neighbors.

Active member of the LDS Church, working in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society in the Edgehill and Colonial Hills 2nd Ward.

Survived by children, John and Linda Christensen, Gallup, New Mexico; Don and Shirley Egginton, Bountiful; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mary G. Walton, Culver City, Calif.; Florence G. Wells, and Benjamin H. and Irene Glade, Salt Lake City; Hazel and Aaron Moss, Provo. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gilbert; a granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth; and four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services Saturday, October 26, 12 noon, Colonial Hills 2nd Ward, 1455 South 1700 East, where friends may call 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
