Lula Beatrice Johnson Morgan, 98 peacefully joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Oaks of Lynchburg. She was born on September 28, 1914, the daughter of the late J.J. Johnson and Georgia Miller Johnson Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Morgan, a brother, Raymond Johnson and five stepbrothers and sisters.
Lula was a longtime member of Fifth Street Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and attended the Tuesday Morning Bible Class.
She is survived by her only son, David Morgan; a brother, Maryland Johnson; a devoted niece Gloria Johnson-Hunter; a devoted nephew, Elder Donald Johnson; stepsister, Ann Moorman Kornegay and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends who were devoted to her.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Fifth Street Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is receiving friends at 418 West Cadbury Dr. Family and friends will assemble at the church.
