Jennifer Leigh Coffey, 34 of Rockfish Valley Highway, Afton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Augusta Health in Fishersville following her long and courageous battle for the past ten years of her life.
Jennifer was born September 16, 1978 in Staunton, a daughter of Pamela Lee Coffey and Roy Preston Sweet, Jr.
Ms. Coffey was the assistant store manager of the Family Dollar in Stuarts Draft. She was a graduate of Fort Defiance High School and later received her degree in Horticulture and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her mother of Afton and her father of Staunton, survivors include a sister, Megan Rae Coffey-Sweggitti and her husband Robert of Roanoke; six uncles, Wayne Edward Coffey and his wife Brenda, Dennis Wade Coffey and his wife Cathy, William Wayt Coffey, Roger Sweet and his wife Gay, Steve Sweet and Daniel Sweet and his wife, Cynthia and many special close and personal friends. Jennifer never met a stranger.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Crossroads Baptist Church by the Pastor Joseph Walker.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Staunton-Augusta Regional S.P.C.A., 33 Archery Lane, Staunton VA 24401.
