•Stone.-The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary East surprised her very much on the 27th inst. [sic ult.], with a nice dinner, it being the sixtieth anniversary of her birth, -there being about forty present, all reported an enjoyable time.
•Stone.-Died at her home, near here, Feb. 28, 1902, Mrs. Mollie East, age 61 years. Deceased leaves four daughters, three sisters and one brother to mourn her loss. She had been a patient sufferer for several years, but at last was called to meet her Saviour. Her remains were laid to rest in the Scott's Fork churchyard. We extend our sympathy to the grief-stricken family.
