YORK, S.C. - Bobby McAlister, 74, of Highway 161 South, died Feb. 1, 2009, at his residence.
A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Will and Dezzie Morrow McAlister.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hardin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas Funeral Home
Mr. McAlister was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church in Blacksburg, SC. He was a retired tool and dye maker at RWM Caster Company.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Spearman McAlister of the home; son, Ronnie McAlister of Gastonia; daughter, Pam Lutz and husband, Jeff of Bessemer City; stepson, Scott Patterson and wife, Arlene of Clover, S.C.; stepdaughter, Susan Beckmann and husband, William of Blacksburg, S.C.; sister, Ruby Costner of Dallas; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Ray McAlister, Lawrence McAlister and James McAlister.
