He was born June 10, 1931, in Zanesville and was a powerlineman, truck driver, and veteran of the Korea War in the U. S. Army. He was also a member of the Eagles 302, VFW 1058, Legion Post 029 and Moose Lodge 867.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Kimble McClellan, of 37 years; son, Jeffrey (Traci) McClellan, of Duncan Falls; daughters, Tonya E. Warpool, of Blue Rock; Darlene S. Brown and Marcia (Mike) Dunkle, of Zanesville; and Linda (Stoney) Mayfield, of Crooksville; brother, Robert (Dolly) McClellan, of Zanesville; daughter-in-law, Diane McClellan; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo A. and Mabel Hupp McClellan; a son, Gregory McClellan; a brother, Adrian McClellan; and a sister, Bonnie Camp.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, with Rev. Mary Gene Boteler officiating at the Rose Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Services will be handled by Delong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
