WASHINGTON — Mike L. Mosby, 64, of Washington, died at 4:59 a.m., Dec. 25, 2011, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Born July 13, 1947, in Washington, he was the son of Reece and Betty (Jerger) Doyle. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School who served in the National Guard and worked as a paper carrier for the Evansville Courier & Press.

Mike was a member of the VFW. He also served as past Grand Knight of Washington Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed karaoke for his pastime.

He is survived by his wife, Janet (Radcliff) Mosby, whom he married Dec. 20, 1984; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle and Chris Hayes and Leann Jones, all of Washington; a son, Ty Mosby Walford of Washington; five grandchildren; a step-brother, Paul (Kaye) Doyle of Mississippi; and special friend and caregiver, Francis Gilbert of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reece Mosby, and step-father, Pat Doyle.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to time of the service at the mortuary.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
