Betty Louise (Ritter) Coffman, 84, Martinsville, passed away at 12:56 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at her son's home.

She was born on Monday, March 4, 1929 in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Joel and Hazel (Bumphrey) Ritter.

Betty attended high school in Elwood, Indiana, and worked for the MSD of Martinsville for 41 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Martinsville. Betty will be remembered by all for the many years that she took tickets for the different Martinsville High School athletic events.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Coffman and wife Sandy of Knoxville, Tennessee, Roger Coffman and wife Rhonda of Martinsville and David Coffman and wife Kristina of Mooresville; brother, Frank Arehart of Pendleton; sister, Clarabelle Beaman of Elwood; son-in-law, Richard Fleener of Martinsville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death is her husband, Richard E. "Gene" Coffman, whom she married on October 7, 1950 and he passed away on June 27, 2002; daughter, Diana Fleener; siblings, Jack Ritter, William Ritter, Mick Ritter, Bill Arehart, Jim Arehart, Annabelle Loudin, Dorthy Ritter, Darlene Arehart and Helen Ritter.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Costin Funeral Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will be at Hilldale Cemetery in Martinsville.
