She was married about 1949 to James Franklin Sutton (1928-2008) was a member of Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ and retired as a secretary for the State of Tennessee.
A resident of Nashville, she was 83 years old when she passed away on February 6, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Patricia Ann Sutton, grandsons Jason Glenn Stokes and Little Dean Haney Jr and by her son-in-law Buford Stokes. Survivors included two daughters, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a married brother and two sisters.
Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
