Michelle was born March 30, 1978 in Waynesboro, a daughter of Rob and Judy (Smith) Riner.
She was a 1996 graduate of Fort Defiance High School and a 2000 graduate of James Madison University. Michelle was an active member of the New Hope United Methodist Church of which the family would like to extend a special thank you.
In addition to her devoted husband of 11 years, and her parents, Michelle is survived by three beautiful daughters, Mia (7), and twins, Katelyn and Lily (5); a sister, Christy Powell and husband Broc; grandfather, Fred Riner; grandmother, Betty Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Normand and Marie McLaughlin; brothers-in-law, Joshua McLaughlin and wife, Nicki and Jason McLaughlin; special nephews, Weston and Landon Powell; new-born niece, Ruth McLaughlin; aunt and uncle, Rosa Lee and Mert Weaver as well as many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
There are no words to capture the essence of Michelle. Her every moment, to the end, was spent enjoying life to the fullest. That was our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday February 10, 2014 in the New Hope United Methodist Church, 55 Round Hill School Road, New Hope by the Rev. R. Doug Gunsalus.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the "Children's Ministry" of New Hope United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 86, New Hope, VA 24469.
